Job Description:

To assist, support, and work closely with teachers, Title 1 teachers, administrators, and other team members in providing educational benefits for students. Position includes sick and vacation days. Insurance available at employee cost.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of materials or skills initially introduced and outlined by certified staff.
  • Assists the certified staff in devising special strategies for reinforcing learning materials and skills based on a sympathetic understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities.
  • Informs certified staff to any problem or special information about an individual student.
  • Performs assigned supervision of students during lunch periods, recess, and on field trips.
  • Demonstrates ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students in school environment.
  • Participates in in-service training programs as approved.
  • Maintains safe working environment.
  • Performs other such duties/assignments as directed by the certified staff.

Academic Qualifications:

Must have a high school diploma. Experience in an educational setting preferred.

Maintenance Supervisor

Salary:  Starting $15.50/hr DOE for 6 mo probationary period. $15.75/hr after 6 mo probationary period.

Hours: 8 per day M-F for 12 months

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • Holds a current low pressure boiler operator’s license
  • Asbestos trained and accredited, or ability to complete training.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and understand basic operating instructions and manuals
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical
  • Must pass an FBI federal background check

Essential Functions and Physical Requirements:

Be on call by district cell phone provided during the hours of operation and the weekend.

  • Plans, schedules, and directs work of assigned maintenance and custodial personnel.  Custodial is defined as personnel that does janitorial work.
  • Works with school administrators in scheduling and coordinating maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and other District property.
  • Plans and lays out more complex jobs.
  • Maintains accurate and current records of maintenance operations, including time spent, resources utilized, cost estimates, and total costs experienced by the District.
  • Recommends repairs and refurbishing needs; prepares rough estimates of material and labor costs and work procedures, coordinating with administration as appropriate.
  • Confers with administration concerning employee evaluations.
  • Recommends new equipment purchases.
  • Keeps operational records and prepares routine reports.
  • Custodial duties as assigned, and in conjunction with custodial staff.
  • Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Superintendent

Technology Director

Information Technology Director Position

Job Description: The Information Technology Director provides daily technology support throughout the EK-12 building with 300 students and 50 staff. The IT enters new staff and students into various school databases, provides repair and maintenance of all school technology equipment, monitors video security systems, takes phone calls and email requests for support, manages the local network with 175 PCs and Macs, and 350+ Chromebooks, tablets and other devices, works closely with teaching staff using tech in their classrooms, monitors the PA/Announcing system, works closely with the eRate Consultant to access USAC federal technology dollars, manages the annual Technology Levy funds with purchases of new technology, and other duties as assigned.  

Knowledge and Experience strongly preferred: Windows Server 2008/2012; Active Directory; Google Admin, wired and wifi network infrastructure; VoIP phone and video security systems, desktop PCs, Chromebooks, routers, switches, firewall/filters, PC repair, update and maintenance, website and social media development, SmartBoards, TV Studio broadcast systems, and the following software and applications: Microsoft Office, Google Applications, Infinite Campus SIS, Windows 10, GoGuardian. Experience in public school technology department is strongly preferred.

Academic Qualifications: High School graduation required. College-level Computer Science preferred. Technology certifications a plus.

Supplemental Information: Full-time position; 220 work days (8 hrs/day), Classified salary contract to be negotiated at the time of hire. Sick and vacation rates as stated in MCA. Medical and dental benefits are available at employee expense. Overtime is not authorized with this position.

Salary range: $40,000 to $45,000, dependent on years of experience and education.

High School Girls Basketball Head Coach,  Salary: $2897

 

Cascade High School is looking for individuals to Head and Assist coach the open positions as listed above for the 2017-18 season. Applicants must be team players and willing to work with athletes of various ability levels. Must be able and willing to take directives from the Athletic Director and administration.

 

HEAD COACH ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Coaches participants in the skills necessary for the sport/activity assigned.
  • Must maintain competency in rules, regulations, and coaching techniques for the sport/activity.
  • Establishes a schedule of practices.
  • Maintains discipline and sportsmanlike conduct of all participants and enforces the policies of the District uniformly when disciplining participants
  • In addition to those established by MHSA and Board policy, establishes performance criteria for eligibility.  
  • Responsible for the inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Responsible for making recommendations to the administration for equipment and supplies needed for the ensuing season.
  • Works with the athletic director in scheduling intramural and interscholastic contests.
  • In team activities, teaches/coaches the importance of team work.
  • Supervises participants and assistant coaches.
