The high school musicians from Cascade performed at the District Music Festival April 3rd and 4th in Great Falls. There were 9 solos or ensembles that performed and all did very well. Those that earned a "I" (Superior) qualified to go on to the State Music Festival on May 2-3 in Helena.

A big THANK YOU goes to Wendy McKamey for being such an awesome accompanist! Thank you also to the parents who were there supporting us.

This was another one of those years with several adjudicators that were tough in their scoring of the musicians they heard. Fortunately these adjudicators worked well with the students and our young musicians learned from this experience. The High School Band earned Superior (I) ratings in the prepared music and in the sight reading evaluations. Mr. Skogley is very proud of the performances of the Concert Band (large groups do not advance to the State Music Festival regardless of their ratings) as well as our soloists and ensemble members. What a great bunch of kids to teach!
