A tip of the hat to Josh Pepos for taking 6th Place in State B/C Wrestling last week. Congrats also to fellow wrestlers David DiAngelis, Cameron Myre, and Kyle Evans for their efforts getting to State. Well done wrestlers.

NO EMERGENCY AT CPS

Several parents have been calling or coming to the school for what they mistakenly thought was an emergency at the school. There is no emergency at the school, however earlier this morning there was an announcement made for teachers to keep their students in class while the Principal conducted school business in a hallway and needed to restrict student movement. It did not rise to the level of any of our emergency protocols which are SHELTER IN PLACE, LOCKDOWN, or EVACUATE. The event was cleared in about 15 minutes and we're business as usual. Parents are requested to call the school to make inquiry if they are concerned, and not arrive at the school, as this has the potential of disrupting the education process and safety of our students and staff.

THE HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS NETWORK

If you'd like to watch the Cascade Badgers vs Simms Tigers Feb 2nd basketball game, they're available for free at the NFHS High School Sports Network HERE. The game was filmed using a portable camera and computer from the Cascade north gym. All the other games that night are also available for viewing.

FACT MEETING

Dear Parents,Our next FACT meeting is coming up on Tuesday, February 13 th from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Therewill be childcare provided again with snacks and lots of fun. For this meeting, we decided to dosomething different with childcare. Ms. Cotton and her BPA students are working together as ateam to create bags for the backpack food program. Two years ago, BPA received a grant fromNorth West Federal Credit Union for the backpack for food program. This amazing programgrew rapidly from there. We decided to get our FACT kids involved with constructing food bags. Our goal is to produce 120 bags for this amazing program. If you would like to donate to thisincredible program Thursday night, we could use plastic bags (grocery bags or gallon Ziplocbags) and/or non-perishable foods (granola bars or applesauce). We did this same program when Ilived in Georgia and we created 500 bags. This was such an incredible experience for me. This isnot the only thing we will be doing with the kids Thursday night; we will have open gym for thekids to play in too. We are so excited to help Ms. Cotton and her BPA students. We hope to see youall there!!!!Thank you,Mindy SchrecengostFACT Childcare Coordinator
