Jeff and I live with our 3 daughters on the Mortag Family Ranch along the beautiful Smith River. I was born and raised on a ranch near Lewistown, MT and graduated from Fergus High School. I first attended MSU-Billings and then transferred to and graduated from Carroll College in 1994. I joined the Army National Guard as a medic while still in college and after graduation transitioned to the Air National Guard where I spent 20+ years in the Contracting career field, retiring in 2016. I now work for the National Guard as a Procurement Analyst.

Chris Wilson
chris.wilson@cascade.k12.mt.us
It is my great pleasure to serve the staff, students, and community of Cascade as a board member. My wife Heather and I are very involved with everything Cascade. We feel that the school is a cornerstone to having a successful small community. I grew up in Columbus and joined the Active Duty Air Force directly out of high school. After leaving active duty, I enlisted in the Montana Air National Guard, where I have just completed my 28th year of service. Full time, I am the Facility Manager and Chief Enlisted Manager for the Civil Engineer Squadron which gives me a great tie into the committees that I serve on for the school board. I have a degree in Maintenance Management and another in Electronic Maintenance Management which I feel are perfect for the Facilities and Technology sub-committees. We have raised kids PreK-12 in Cascade and currently have the next generation of Badgers starting Kindergarten. My phone and email are always open to hearing how we can make our district the best place for all of our children!

Jeffrey Culp
jeff.culp@cascade.k12.mt.us
I am Jeff Culp. Over the last two years my family and I have become deeply involved in Cascade and Cascade School. I am the dad of five daughters, four of which are in school. They range from a senior in high school to third grade. My wife currently teaches first grade at Cascade School. She has a total of 18 years of teaching experience. I have been a police officer for over 15 years. Two of which I was a School Resource Officer. In my career as a police officer I am keenly aware of the importance of local government. With kids in the school and a wife that works there I have a vested interest in Cascade School being the best that it can be. I look forward to the opportunity to be an active member in helping to develop and grow the next generation of our community.

James Lewis
james.lewis@cascade.k12.mt.us
James B. Lewis has been active within the Cascade School district since 2015 when he and his wife Heather decided to return to Montana to raise their two boys following a 14-year career in the military. James came out to Montana from a small farming community in North Central FL in 2001. Falling in love with the outdoor opportunities Montana provided and shortly after, meeting the love of his life Heather, James quickly realized he would call Montana home. James comes from a background in security and law enforcement, he has coached and volunteered within Cascade Athletics and FFA since 2017.

Karsen Floerchinger, District Clerk
karsen.floerchinger@cascade.k12.mt.us
I am originally from the small town of Scobey in Northeastern Montana. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business Management & Entrepreneurship from Montana State University Bozeman. (Go Bobcats!). I moved to this area upon being offered this incredible opportunity to serve as Cascade School District's Business Manager & Clerk. Throughout high school and college, I always spent my summers working at the school in my hometown as a technology manager and also as an assistant to the business manager/clerk, who also happens to be my mother! Public schools have always been near and dear to my heart being a "second generation clerk" and growing up as the daughter to the Chairman of the School Board. School finance has quickly become my passion and being just one of the many building blocks in the staircase of our young pupils' education and success is a great honor.
